This is what a fall afternoon looks like in South Dakota. I fell in love with this place when I came for a visit in 2009 for the Sturgis Rally. It was August and I could smell the pine trees and the cool air, unlike Texas. I was at a time in my life that did not want to be there anymore. Some of you know why, the rest of you will understand if you choose to read my book that is being published after writing over 10 years. Jay Fields a good friend from high school who had invited me up in the first place said would you like to move here and I answered quickly yes. Erika Laine Drummond and I moved a couple of weeks later. Yes I said weeks. Ha! After everything I had been through this is where I found my peace. I met incredible friends that I still have today. 😊 In 2012. 13 years ago married my fifth grade boyfriend! I prayed for a husband just like you for so long. I thought it was never going to happen but I didn’t give up. Hope I trusted and had faith in God no marriage is perfect. No relationship is, but the key to a happy marriage is forgiveness, kindness understanding, and most of all L❤️VE. Erik told me in my wedding vows that he would love me like I had never known before. That is still true today I walk in gratitude and try not to take anything for granted.

Come down and visit Erika Laine at 57 Sherman Street in Deadwood, South Dakota. Take a private tour of the Four season private community in the heart of the Black Hills.
We visited 4 different resorts for my birthday trip and stayed at 2. 1st stop Zoetry Villa Rolandi, in Isla Mujeres. This is our favorite. It will close for remodel in June. Can’t wait to see the new resort when it reopens. We visited impressions down the road. It was an incredible stunning hotel like you’ve never seen. Then we left the island to go back to Cancun for secrets Riviera another small resort where we had a swim up beachfront room. We absolutely loved it and enjoyed every minute room service, poolside service, etc. also went and visited secrets Maroma, named one of the top beaches in the world. Starting to feel like we are on vacation now. You know it takes a few days to unwind. Feeling very blessed and so grateful to this man I get to call my husband. I waited for years and years to find the perfect man for me. Then when I saw the notebook, I said, I will not marry anyone unless they are like a Noah. Four months ago on December 7 our precious Olivia Lynn was born and only five days later Erika Laine Drummond lost her husband Dr. Nicholas Drummond while Livy was still in the hospital. I know a lot of you have wondered about the cause of death. It’s pretty tragic that it was undetermined. 💔 I was so proud of Erika Laine to be able to walk these halls where she experienced the joy of her life, and also the tragedy of her life. We are forever grateful to all of the doctors and nurses who helped our family through this tough process. I walked into the room where I spent my last moments with my favorite son-in-law after he was already in heaven. Lots and lots of tears streamed down my face yesterday. This little angel was born one month early on December 7, Pearl Harbor Day. She has brought more joy into our lives than we could have ever imagined. She is what keeps us all going after the tragedy of losing her daddy only five days after she was born. The thoughts can swirl in your head. He will never see her steps, her first words, her starting kindergarten or graduating high school, get to dance with him or walk her down the aisle one day. But if we allow our thoughts to be saddened by all of these events, we would miss out on the joy and all of God‘s plans that he has for Olivia. We will continue to pray for strength, and courage throughout her life. And allow God to heal us each and every day. We will always miss our sweet Nick, Dr. Drummond, professor, the best son in law 🥰 #amazinggraceretreatlifestyle
We had beautiful snow in late March. Chapter 11 of the Joseph principal by Steven K. Scott. From grieve to peace and joy. Grief can be an obstacle that prevents us from experiencing intimate fellowship with God. Even while you’re deep in grief, God wants to be on the throne of your heart.
